I hold my bachelor's degree in hospitality management and over five years of experience in the hospitality/tourism sector. I was a part of the opening team of a top- rated Marriott hotel. I most recently worked aboard three of the four National Geographic American fleet expedition ships on the #1 rated small cruise line ship. With this experience, I know the high- quality guests deserve and how to deliver it to my clients.

A colony of Gentoo Penguins in Antarctica
During November 2022, I had the opportunity to board the National Geographic Resolution for its first Antarctic voyage of the season. We embarked the ship in Ushuaia, Argentina. From Ushuaia, we sailed through the gnarly Drake Passage. Luckily, the waters were fairly calm! After two days of sailing, we stepped foot onto our first piece of land, Paulet Island, and was greeted by thousands of the Adelie penguin colony that inhabited the island.
It was a great way to experience our first step on Antarctic land! From there, we visited a volcanic island, an abandoned research station, and visited plenty of penguin colonies!! We had the opportunity to see four different species of penguins. We even saw the rare Emperor Penguin.
We ended our trip with a polar plunge into the freezing cold waters. 30 seconds was all that was needed for that experience! We can mark that off the bucket list!
After a full week of sailing in Antarctica, we disembarked back in Ushuaia. Antarctica is truly a one of a kind place. I would say it is the ultimate global explorer destination!!
